On Monday, Punxatawney Phil emerged from his hole to greet the day. Unfortunately, he saw his shadow and retreated back into his den, indicating that there will be six more weeks of winter.
This morning, I drove to Memorial Park and emerged from my car to take a slow jog around the loop. Unfortunately, within ten steps that familiar someone-is-hitting-my-kneecap-with-a-hammer feeling started, and I was forced to retreat back to my car, indicating that there will probably be six more weeks on the %@#$ing elliptical trainer.
So much for Spring Season and the Ironfoot. So much for the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler and the Indy Mini.
Unless someone does something cool on the elite circuit, I'll probably shut the blog down for a while. Running is a very frustrating thing for me right now, and I'm not sure how much I'll feel like writing about it. We'll see.

I'm not there yet...
...but I'm getting closer. Maybe this weekend I'll be ready for an easy lap around the park. Here's hoping--I'm tired of looking at the zeros in my running log.

Everyone runs more than I do
Even James Harrison, this year's NFL defensive MVP, runs more than I do. He looked pretty well tuckered out after this, though...

Nice to see my Steelers get the big win last night. The Terrible Towels were waving, and many pierogies (and a couple of Rolling Rocks) were consumed. Good times.
